Hey mother! (e-mail 4-22-12)

Wow! Another week is now written in a journal!  Ha ha.

This week started off good, and then we experienced a moment of time when investigators were way busy or not wanting to listen any more. But we kept on walking! Walk, talk, walk.  I learned how to tract better!  We tried talking to people at big houses too. (Because we want a bongang merienda!) So far, no one at a big house has accepted. It's to bad.

Here is a picture of our house taken from the top floor of the palengke (market).   It sticks out like a sore thumb! I'm always too shy to go stand on the balcony, part 'cause there's so many people that stare at you. One night we did sleep out side on the top, 'cause it was really clear skyed!  It was fun.

Here is another picture of our CSP.  (Church Service Project). This is the eating portion. Our ulam was this bean stuff. It reminded me of the stuff they have at brazillian restaurants, black bean, except for this was fish and black beans. We made a bamboo fence for the Caberte family! Nanay Caberte is a ring and jewelry maker. We eat at her house twice a week. She's the bomb.

Here is a picture of two young men in the ward. Amado and Jhun jhun. We taught them one night and they became us! Notice the fine askal dog in the background.

We did get to teach Phobe again this week.  She seems like if she and her husband got married, they could be baptized right away! There is one barungay (village) in Maria that has at least 6 churches. That's where we tried finding investigators this week. It was intense!

This week we had zone interviews with President Martino. In my interview he said something about me being close to the finish line. I was quiet and said: "there's still a lot of time." Then he asked what I was going to do with my life, and I told him "go to school at UVU!!!"   Go wolverines. Maria Aurora's colors are UVU's colors too! yellow and green.

Life is rockin' still! Missionary work is a lot like the primary kids sing about, that was my "before sleep" thought moment last night.

Well then! Keep having a good week! and I'll talk to you in another one!

Love yer buns

Elder Hill
